Relief turns workouts your devices already recorded into coins. It is a renderer, not a tracker, and it is built so that there is nothing to collect.

Relief collects nothing

There is no account, no server and no analytics. Relief makes no network requests at all — nothing you do in the app is sent anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to be sent. We therefore hold no data about you, and there is nothing for us to sell, share, lose or hand over.

Health data stays on your iPhone

With your permission, Relief reads two things from Apple Health: the workouts your devices have already recorded, and the GPS routes saved with them. It uses the altitude of each route point to draw that workout's elevation curve, which becomes the outline of its coin. All of that happens on the device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is shared, and Relief writes nothing back to Health. You can revoke access at any time in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Health ▸ Relief.

Location

Relief never asks for your location and never tracks you. The only coordinates it ever sees are the ones already inside a workout route you recorded. It may hand a route's starting point to Apple's on-device geocoder to name the place engraved on a coin; that lookup is performed by iOS, not by us.

Photos

If you choose Save on a medal image or an exported video, Relief adds that one file to your photo library. It never reads your library. If you use the share sheet instead, where the file goes is decided by you and the app you send it to.

Purchases

Relief is a one-time paid download, sold and processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or anything identifying the purchaser. Apple may provide us with aggregate sales figures, which contain no personal information.

Children

Relief is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Rights such as access, correction, deletion and portability apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request — the data stays in Apple Health on your device, under your control, and deleting the app removes what Relief stored (a single unit preference).

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
